Founded in 2019 by a team of engineers who were frustrated by the limitations of existing API solutions, we've grown to serve thousands of businesses ranging from startups to enterprises, processing over 15 billion API calls monthly.

Our Story

From a weekend hackathon project to a platform powering thousands of applications

2019

The Beginning

MyAppAPI began as a weekend project by founders Sarah Johnson and Michael Chen, who were frustrated by the limitations of existing API platforms while building their previous startup. What started as an internal tool quickly evolved when they realized other developers faced the same challenges.

2020

Launch & Seed Funding

After months of development, we launched the public beta of MyAppAPI and secured $3.5M in seed funding from TechVentures Capital. Our initial platform focused on core REST API capabilities with an emphasis on developer experience and documentation.

2021

Rapid Growth

The platform grew from 100 to 1,000 customers as we expanded our feature set to include GraphQL support, WebSockets, and enhanced authentication options. We built out our team from 10 to 35 employees across engineering, support, and marketing.

2022

Enterprise Expansion

With $15M in Series A funding, we developed enterprise-grade features including advanced security options, compliance certifications, and dedicated infrastructure. We established our first international office in Berlin to better serve our growing European customer base.

2023

Platform Evolution

Introduced our real-time data streaming capabilities and edge computing features, allowing developers to deploy API logic closer to their users. We reached the milestone of processing 5 billion API calls monthly and expanded to 60 team members.

2024

Global Expansion

Secured $30M in Series B funding to fuel global expansion with new offices in Singapore and London. Launched our API marketplace to help companies monetize their APIs and enhanced our developer resources with comprehensive learning paths.

Today, MyAppAPI powers thousands of businesses worldwide, processing over 15 billion API calls monthly. With a team of 80+ passionate individuals across 4 global offices, we're just getting started on our mission to build the foundation for the next generation of connected applications.

Sarah Johnson

Co-Founder & CEO

Previously led product at CloudScale before co-founding MyAppAPI. Sarah brings over 15 years of experience in developer tools and platform businesses. She holds a BS in Computer Science from MIT.

Michael Chen

Co-Founder & CTO

Prior to MyAppAPI, Michael was a Principal Engineer at TechGiant, where he designed distributed systems handling millions of requests per second. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford.

Emily Rodriguez

Chief Product Officer

Emily joined MyAppAPI in 2021 after leading product teams at DataPro and ApiTech. She focuses on aligning product strategy with customer needs and market opportunities. MBA from Harvard Business School.

James Wilson

VP of Engineering

James leads our engineering organization, focusing on scaling our platform and engineering practices. Previously Engineering Director at CloudInfra and tech lead at Google. MS in Computer Engineering from UC Berkeley.

Priya Patel

VP of Customer Success

Priya ensures our customers achieve their goals with MyAppAPI. Her team focuses on onboarding, technical support, and helping customers maximize platform value. Previously at SalesForce and Oracle.

David Nguyen

VP of Security

David oversees our security program, ensuring the integrity and protection of our platform and customer data. Former CISO at FinSecure and security architect at Microsoft. Certified CISSP with BS in Cybersecurity.
